Definitions

 
bio-mechanical filter:  a large chamber containing filter media that pond water circulates through every one to two hours to trap debris. It also houses living beneficial bacteria to keep the pond health and clean. back
 
skimmer:  discretely built into the pond edging, skimmers drastically reduce maintenance. The top layer of pond water is pulled into a collection basket which traps surface debris before it sinks to the pond bottom. This reduces bottom waste accumulation by up to 85%.  back
 
skimmerfilters:  combines all four critical filtration components:  macro-filtration, bio-mechanical filtration, skimming and optional ultra-violet clarification in one unit.
